With your help,
igniting hope is possible!
The Issues
Young people, especially those from underrepresented communities, face financial hardship, neighborhood violence, underperforming schools, family stressors, and parent/guardian illness, all of which pose significant barriers to realizing their potential.
Our Approach
We’re committed to our Scholars and their families for the long-term, from middle and high school, to college, and through career launch. Our residential program provides educational and socio-emotional support; teaches life skills; prioritizes college and career readiness; and offers opportunities for personal development, leadership and service to others. We provide support to our Collegians to ensure they have the tools to persist through graduation.
The HOPE You Provide
Your gift is a direct investment in the young people we serve. They have the ability but not access to opportunities. Through your help, they can create a brighter future for themselves and their families.

NAME CHANGE AND DONATIONS
We’re so grateful for your support of Hope Ignites Chicago, formerly Boys Hope Girls Hope of Illinois! As we work through our legal name change with the Internal Revenue Service, we need your help to ensure gifts reach us without delay.
We’ve seen some confusion in online giving portals during this transition. While we’re updating our name to Hope Ignites Chicago in these systems, some portals and donor-advised fund (DAF) databases may still list us as Boys Hope Girls Hope of Illinois until the IRS change is complete. Please double-check the name, address, and EIN before you give:
Name: Hope Ignites Chicago (or Boys Hope Girls Hope of Illinois)
EIN: 51-0248353
Once your gift is made, you can help us with one additional step—email Kate Harken at kate.harken@hopeignites.org so we can confirm it has been received and applied as intended.
Thank you for standing with us during this transition—we couldn’t do this without you.
